The Anarchy Lacrosse launch is here — and it starts with a direct call-out. Lacrosse has a media problem. The outlets covering this sport — with a handful of exceptions — are operating as unpaid PR firms for the programs, commissioners, and equipment companies they’re supposed to be covering. Coaches who run dysfunctional programs get glowing profiles. Commissioners who make bad decisions get softballs. Gear reviews read like the brand wrote them, because in too many cases, the brand basically did.
That ends here.
Anarchy Lacrosse exists because the sport deserves coverage that actually respects the people watching it. You’ve been playing, coaching, or following lacrosse long enough to know when someone’s feeding you a line. We’re not going to feed you a line.
What the Anarchy Lacrosse Launch Means for Coverage
We cover NCAA D1, D2, and D3 — men’s and women’s. The PLL. High school recruiting. Power rankings with real opinions attached, not diplomatic nonsense designed to avoid upsetting anyone. Gear reviews that tell you what’s actually worth your money. And takes — honest, backed-up, named-names takes — on everything the rest of the lacrosse media won’t touch because they’re too worried about losing their access.
If a program is underperforming its recruiting class, we’ll say so, and we’ll say which program. If a coaching hire is a mistake, we’ll make the case. Meanwhile, if a player is criminally underrated and the national media is sleeping, we’ll wake them up. The sport is too good and the fan base is too knowledgeable for the kind of coverage it’s been getting.

What We Won’t Do
We won’t punch down at players — especially high schoolers who are just kids making big decisions about their futures. We won’t manufacture outrage when there’s nothing to be outraged about. We won’t pretend to have facts we don’t have. We won’t write a glowing gear review because a company sends free product, or a negative one because they don’t advertise with us.
And we will never, under any circumstances, write a sentence that contains the phrase “sources indicate” or “could potentially” or “some are questioning.” That is not journalism. That is cowardice with a byline. You will not find it here.
Lacrosse is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. The people who love it deserve a media outlet that loves it enough to be honest about it — the brilliance, the politics, the bad decisions, the underdog runs, the dynasties, and everything in between.
